Flying FOOLZ Meeting Minutes
June 14, 2016 at Beef O'Brady's
Attendees: Steve & Barb Flynn, Karen (Peaches) Jones, Bill & Karen Sharpe, Bob & Debbie Fry, and Steve Bensinger & Sue Vartanian
Meeting called to order 7:37pm.
Previous minutes were approved.
Treasurer Report – Steve B. reported that the club bank balance is $4432.71.
Old business:
Last month, Peaches reported that she was e-mailed by parent(s) who wanted to get a plane ride for their child(ren) and Jim C had volunteered to take the child. As of this meeting, the flight has not occurred.
Robby has given permission for the windsock to be moved at Flying W, but wants to use a large pole (like a telephone pole).
New business:
Peaches and the other members of the Young Eagles committee have other commitments and so the club will need to form a replacement committee (if it wants to).
The membership discussed ways that we can use club funds and volunteer time to help aviation. Ideas mentioned: donate scholarship funds, improvements to the runway (sprinkler system).
The membership also discussed other types of events: poker runs, progressive party (breakfast, lunch, and dinner at three different airports).
Fly-ins: No events were mentioned.
Meeting adjourned 7:49 pm.
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12th 7pm at Coyote Rojo.
