Flying FOOLZ Meeting Minutes
October 14, 2014 at Beef O'Brady's
Attendees: Bill & Karen Sharpe, Ozzie & Carolyn Osborne, Barb & Steve Flynn (and guest brother Clinton), Jim & Pat Connell, Isaiah & Dudley Collum, Dan Reynolds, Steve Bensinger and Sue Vartanian
Meeting called to order 7:40pm.
Treasurer Report – The FOOLZ Club net worth is down a little because the headsets have been devalued. The September Fly-In suffered from low attendance due to poor weather, and so lost $74, but most of the food was saved. The next Fly-In is October 25th, the same weekend as SERFI (South East Regional Fly-In in Evergreen, Alabama).
Club members discussed and voted to change the ByLaws to:
Add memberships for Associate (not an EAA member, not allowed to vote, $12 annual dues) and Youth (associate member under 18, Young Eagle/student pilot, $5 annual dues).
Change the formation of the nominating committee from July to September.

Young Eagles – Membership continued to discuss how to help student pilots with their lessons. Discussed contributing $1000 in three parts: $300 for lessons, $400 for passing ground test, and $300 for soloing. Does EAA contribute as well? Dan R. to check with school in Polk County.
Membership voted to add May 16th as a Flying W Fly-in, and decided not to have one in June.
Looking forward to flying out to Arcadia (10/18), Love's Landing (11/1), and Lakeland (11/8).
