Flying FOOLZ Meeting Minutes
May 14, 2014 at Coyote Rojo
Attendees: Jim and Pat Connell, Bill and Karen Sharpe, Barb and Steve Flynn, Joanna Springer, Dudley Collum, John and Pat Davis, Mike and Marilyn Page, Steve Bensinger and Sue Vartanian.
Meeting called to order 7:57pm.
Treasurer Report – The April Fly-In generated about $390 in revenue. After expenses, we cleared about $200. (Photos have been uploaded to the FOOLZ website.) FOOLZ Bank account has $3078.23.
Young Eagles – Formed a committee to come up with ideas for promoting Young Eagles. Joanna Springer voted as Committee Chairman. Other committee members: Jim and Pat Connell, Peaches (Karen) Jones, Dan Reynolds. Some of the ideas discussed were: having a dedicated Young Eagle days with activities while waiting for flight, getting help from the academy at Sun N Fun.
Pig Roast? – Pat Connell investigated the cost of having a pig roast similar to Williston's, perhaps at the next Wahoo Fly-In. There is substantial expense for the pig ($250), the pit, and the time to cook.
The next meeting is confirmed for NEXT MONDAY, June 9th at 7pm at Beef O’Brady's.
