Flying FOOLZ Meeting Minutes
April 11, 2017 at Beef O’Brady’s
Attendees: Steve & Barb Flynn, Karen (Peaches) Jones, Curt Morehouse & Deb Beach, Vic Chewning & Jim Corbett, Bill & Karen Sharpe, and Steph Bensinger & Sue Vartanian
Meeting called to order 7:43pm.
Correction to last month’s meeting minutes:
- Neal Harris’ Memorial was at Quest (not Gator Field) March 25th.
Treasurer Report – Vic Chewning
- After the March 25th Fly-in at Connell’s Wahoo, the club assets are now $15,558.72($623.54 more than last month).
- $11,771.43 is designated for scholarships
- $3704.29 is for operating expenses.
Old business:
- The Scholarship committee will meet on April 20th to discuss the scholarship applications it has received and determine recommendations for scholarship distribution. (The Board of Directors will then need to approve them.)
New Business/Announcements
- Karen Sharpe and Deb Beach contacted Homer Hurst (hurstdigitaldesigns@gmail.com) about making aprons for the next Fly-in. They had two samples made, each with the orange-and-blue FOOLZ logo on a white apron for $15.00.
Motion made and passed to have the club pay for those two demo aprons and an order for 10 more. (12 aprons @ $15ea = $180.00)
Membership then discussed the Fly-in schedule.
The membership rejected September 30th as a possible date.
We agreed to have one on October 28th 8:30-10:30am, and on January 27th.
Meeting adjourned 8:02 pm.
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9th 7pm at Coyote Rojo.
