Flying FOOLZ Meeting Minutes
September 9, 2014 at Coyote Rojo
Attendees: Bill & Karen Sharpe, Ozzie & Carolyn Osborne, Barb & Steve Flynn, Jim & Pat Connell, Steve Bensinger and Sue Vartanian
Meeting called to order 7:30pm.
Treasurer Report – The FOOLZ Club net worth is $3135.34 and donated headsets.
Members discussed the idea of moving FOOLZ funds to an independent account with club officers as signatories.
September Fly-In on the 27th scheduled from 8:00am to 10:30 or 11:00am. Deb Beach and Curt Morehouse will be able to participate. Steve will apply for the insurance certificate.
Young Eagles – Membership asked about the status of the two young men who won the essay contest for the Bruce Proud Scholarship: Zachary Stokes and Noah Richwine. Zach soloed in February, but is still flying with his instructor Jack. Noah is taking his second lesson. Membership expressed interest in continuing financial support, but we need more information about the status and needs of these young men. Suggested that we invite them both to attend the next FOOLZ meeting.
Wahoo Fly-In (next March) – Pat's last report: considering serving only a brunch on Saturday (one day, one meal). The club is willing to help with the Fly-in whatever the plan is.
