Old business:

  • The Scholarship committee agreed that at the present time Noah does not have a flight school or a plan for how he will be able to attain his goals of becoming a Private Pilot. Noah previously received some scholarship funds as a scholarship recipient, however the scholarship time of 3 years has expired. The committee will review Noah’s reapplication for a Private Pilot scholarship when he submits a detailed plan and acceptance for flight training.

New Business/Announcements

  • Deb Beach agreed to pick up the 10 additional aprons from Homer Hurst (hurstdigitaldesigns@gmail.com). The aprons are printed with the orange-and-blue FOOLZ logo on a white background.
  • There didn’t seem to be any fly-ins for us to attend, but a new Flightline restaurant is open at Winter Haven (GIF), and the Hilton Garden Inn at Lakeland Linder (LAL) has a restaurant.
  • Gary reported that Robby performed some weed maintenance around the canal-end of the runway at Flying W.
  • Brooke Richwine spoke about cooking products available from The Pampered Chef (www.pamperedchef.com). A percentage of on-line orders placed before May 19th benefit the FOOLZ scholarship fund.

Meeting adjourned 8:03 pm.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13th 7pm at Beef O’Brady’s.

(We know that several members of our group will be vacationing that day, but the meeting room has already been reserved and the rest of us like to eat out!)
