Flying FOOLZ Meeting Minutes
February 12, 2014 at Beef O'Brady's
Attendees: Jim and Pat Connell, Bill and Karen Sharpe, Barb and Steve Flynn, Al Sasser, Steve and Laura ?, Vic Chewning, Steve Bensinger and Sue Vartanian.
Meeting called to order 7:15pm.
Steve started the meeting with some videos and photos of Fly-Ins and aircraft.
Treasurer Report – FOOLZ Bank account has $2424.40. We also have two donated headsets worth $25 each.
Saturday, February 15th has several Fly-Ins scheduled including Twelve Oaks Lunch.
March 15th-16th Fly-In at Connell's Wahoo – Planning to serve only 3 meals: Brunch starting at 10am or so ($5), then chili and hot dogs and marshmallows at the fire pit ($8) (sun will set at 8pm EDT) (with musical entertainment), and a “Continental/Lycoming” breakfast Sunday morning ($2?). Camping will be $10/$15 for utilities; primitive camping is free.
EAA insurance will not cover any sort of contest involving beanbag drops or flour drops. Spot landings and poker runs are allowed.
Although the Flynns will not be able to attend the Fly-In, Barb has agreed to shop for food and other supplies beforehand. Pat is also getting help from other friends who will provide goodies and services.
Jim would like to discuss aircraft parking about a week before the event. It is difficult to get the North parking area smoothed.
The Connell's will let us know if there is other preparation work we can help with.

Next meeting is SATURDAY March 15th at the Connell's Fire Pit 7pm (or so).
The back room at Beef O'Brady's has been reserved for the April 9th meeting.
